Comments about Signals Solar-Powered Eyeball Lights:

I was so excited to receive these as a gift... I do ocular research for a living, so anything eye related is always fun. Usually. I basically had the same problems as Jay, the other reviewer. After only TWO days outside and after a night with some rain I found one of the globes on the ground and most of the paint off of both globes. Upon bringing them inside to try to fix the one, I realized that the solar box had water in it. I have not tried them again yet to see if they work or if the water damaged the solar box. I'm extremely disappointed in the quality of this product. I have another set that I did not try yet, but apparently they are only meant to be put outside in the very best of weather conditions.

    Poorly Constructed and Fall Apart

Comments about Signals Solar-Powered Eyeball Lights:

For outdoor accessories, these solar powered lights are very poorly constructed. I ordered 2 sets and when they arrived, the first set didn't work at all and the second required me repairing the circuitry (reattaching a wire that came loose from the circuit board) to get it to work. Customer service offered to replace / refund, which I did for the broken one, but decided to keep the one I fixed. When put outside (I live in N. CA), the glass globes came off the stakes (glue failed) within days. With the first rain, the paint began to come off the glass, leaving just globes (no eyes). With the first day of heavy rain, the battery compartment of these "outdoor" accessories filled with water and shorted out. How can something made for use outdoors be so poorly water resistant? It is crazy that these cases arrive from the supplier not even appropriately closed against the gasket and missing the rubber plugs for the screw holes. The "flooded" unit was properly sealed and plugged by me after arriving and still managed to collect water. I would not buy these AT ANY PRICE. It's too bad, because they are neat when working.
