In 1964, while a nation still mourned the loss of their President, Jacqueline Kennedy set aside her own personal grief to record over eight hours of in-depth interviews about her husband, John F. Kennedy.

Jackie spoke candidly to historian Arthur Schlesinger Jr. about her life with JFK. The interviews provided unique insights into not only the presidency, but the man himself.

Jacqueline Kennedy never again spoke so openly about her husband. The tapes themselves were sealed and deposited in the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum, with the instruction that they were only to be unsealed 50 years after Jackie's death.
